Fairy Artist

I was born in the city of Lincoln on the 9th February 1960. The youngest of 4 children and often the brunt of gentle teasing about my daydreaming. From an early age I was aware of the powers and energy of the Earth and Moon and would sit for hours underneath the trees (the gentle willowy Silver Birch being my favourite) feeling the Magick. The land of the Faeries has always been open to me and being a very slender elfin child I was often likend to them. Painting and drawing have always been a passion of mine throughout my childhood, teenage years and adulthood and in time, I encouraged my children (a Son and Daughter) to find their artistic flare. This encouragement now extends to my 3 beautiful Grandaughters I had always painted in oils, mainly little village scenes and flowers but it wasn’t until the Faeries kept insisting on being painted that I turned to watercolours for the delicate subjects. My first paintings as an adult were given as gifts of love to my friends and family.

At the age of 41 after years of working in the Jewellery trade, I was struck down with the debilitating illness Fibromyalgia and M.E. Virtually bedbound and confined to a wheelchair for many years, I had to find something to try and repair myself. One day, whilst sitting in the garden and very nearly giving up hope, I asked out loud if ‘This is all there is now?’ Suddenly, the garden awoke and came to life as I had not seen it since a child, it was as if Mother Nature were saying ‘Here I am, I’m still here, I’ve been waiting for you’ and it was at this time the Faeries flew in to help me. My art came to the rescue and after a further 3 years encouraged by family and friends, I began to sell my work, and so the business began.

4 years on, I am starting to be recognised and my work is selling, here in the UK and abroad I still live in Lincolnshire, in a picture box village with my wonderful partner, Eddie. My illness continues to this day but thanks to sheer determination, Mother Nature and more than a little help from the Fae, I live a very happy life and bless everyday the spirit that never left me…….. I hope that my art and story of my life albeit brief, brings inspiration to others who feel they can’t succeed…………………..Oh Yes You Can………………… With Love Light and Happiness Always Freyeesha.
